Afterimage

An afterimage is an image that continues to appear in one's vision after the exposure to the original image has ceased.

The series Afterimage shows a group of 12 photographic images printed on fabric, staged in front of a dark backdrop and captured a new. The prints on fabric are used as images but become objects in front of the camera, and the subjects themselves of the photographs.
The content of the original images become secondary. They conceal and reveal themselves, taking shape, rising, falling, crumpling, being drawn tight. Remnant fragments of colors, patterns, places and bodies borrowed from some other realities, and finally taking part in the same entity. The images become migrants in an in-between space. A substance of image is captured in the photograph displaying this transitional moment of coming into presence.
